Job Summary: The Direct Support Professional Float staff, DSPF, provides assistance, support, and encouragement to meet the needs of people with disabilities served by HMC, with a high level of flexibility needed to cover shifts as required. Services are provided in the individuals’ homes and the community. Some locations have awake-night staff, and some locations have partial-sleep staff.
Parameters for this position include the ability to work at multiple locations. Hours will vary week-to-week. Must be able to arrive and be prepared to work within 1 (one) hour of notification of shift. Shifts will not be longer than 16 hours with at least 8 hours between shifts. Will be scheduled for up to 40 hours per week. If no direct care work is available to reach 40 hours, the employee will complete other tasks related to the organization to fill hours.
Schedule: Full-time, varying shifts, with on-call schedule.
Wage: $24.00 (Full-Time) per hour after completion of training, $22.00 per hour starting, with additional shift differentials in specific locations. An additional $25 per day stipend for being available to work during the required on-call days.
