Job Purpose
The Administrative Assistant is a member of the administrative team, providing comprehensive, in-office administrative support to all departments, programs, and members of the Leadership team. This role helps ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the organization by coordinating a variety of administrative functions and serving as a central point of support. The Administrative Assistant serves as the primary point of contact within the organization, welcoming visitors, responding to general inquiries, and routing communications to the appropriate staff. This position facilitates information flow across departments, helps maintain an organized, professional front office environment, and provides adaptable administrative support tailored to the organization's needs.
Location: Harry Meyering Center Office – Mankato, MN.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Wage: $18.50 per hour.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Willing to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide assistance to all either in person or via, phone, email, etc. in a genuine and respectful manner while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Provides exceptional customer service to all external and internal contacts.
- Pursue professional growth and development.
- Display exceptional documentation skills, knowledge of systems, and routines.
- Assist with a variety of administrative and cross-departmental projects as assigned, adapting to changing priorities and organizational needs.
- Maintain appropriate access to organizational systems and provide support for system access needs, including password resets and basic access troubleshooting.
- Maintain strict confidentiality about the information that the Administrative Assistant has access to, and attend all required trainings.
- Provides support to departments, as needed, including but not limited to, filing, copying, etc.
- Maintain HIPAA Compliance in all communications, whether written or verbal, both external and internal to HMC.
- Follows all health and safety policy and procedure.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have high school diploma or general education degree.
- Prior experience or training not required, but desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with individuals, support teams, and co-workers.
- Must be self-motivated and exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills and be able to problem solve.
- Must have an advanced knowledge of technology programs. IE: Microsoft Office products. Be able to use and/or be willing to learn and operate other technology platforms.

- Must work with colleagues and have the ability to work independently to carry out job duties as assigned.
